Online registration will open in early January. Please register by Wednesday, February 24th, to take advantage of lower pre-registration fees. Everyone participating in the conference in an official role (presenter, chair, etc., whether in-person or remotely) must register, although registration fees are waived for New College faculty and staff, Ringling Museum staff, and members of the program committee. (Please contact info@newcollegeconference.org for a discount code if this applies to you.)
Registration costs for 2026 will be as follows:
Full-time faculty: $150 on or before Wednesday, February 24th; $200 after February 24th
Part-time, contingent, and retired faculty, and independent scholars: $100 on or before February 24th; $150 after February 24th
Graduate students: $75 on or before February 24th; $125 after February 24th
Local residents (non-academics): $30
Local high school students and undergraduates are always welcome! You do not need to pre-register or pay any fees; simply present your ID to our registration desk staff when you arrive at the conference; they'll sign you in and give you a nametag that will give you access to all conference events.
Paid registration provides access to all official conference events except for lunches, which are priced separately. Lunch will be available on campus all three days of the conference for $15 per meal. Dining options within walking distance of the conference center are limited, so conference participants without their own transport are strongly encouraged to purchase lunch tickets. Lunch tickets must be purchased through the online registration site by February 24th; there will be no lunch ticket sales at the conference.
If you will be accompanied by family members who would like to attend one or more of the receptions or organized activities without officially attending the conference, please contact the organizing committee.
Also, please note: the cutoff dates for the conference rate at the conference hotels are both in early February. Please see the Accommodation page for more information.
Regarding Funding:
A limited number of in-kind bursaries are available to help graduate students and/or international participants defray the costs of travel to the New College Conference. Those considering applying should be aware that bursaries are typically small ($50-$300), so we encourage all applicants to pursue additional sources of funding. To be considered, please send an email to bursaries@newcollegeconference.org by January 15th, 2026 with your name, scholarly affiliation, and funding status. All applicants will be notified of the results of their applications by the first week of February 2026.
